When I did my SAVN 14 assignment earlier this year, I brain-stormed or wrote lists of key points for each of the titles in the syllabus (ie starvation, normal routine, contact details in 1.2). So I would write starvation and dog -what is your practice's policy?, cat -Practice policy?, rabbits/ exotic, key differences (ie don't starve a rabbit (can't vomit, risk of gut stasis) or very young animals (risk of hypoglycaemia)), when to take food away from rabbits or other exotic species. What did you do in the cases you have chosen and why? Start searching for quotes to back up your actions and points and write them down with references at the bottom of the page.

After you have done this, you find you've got lots of ideas about what you want to say, and it helps to put it in a logical order. You may have all but write the essay except for few linking words to make it flow! It will at least put some words on the page and helps break that 'blank page' barrier!

Good luck!

Ed, RVN

Who is the awarding body - RCVS / CENTRAL QUALIFICATIONS / CITY AND GUILDS?

Best bet - read the syllabus. If you are with RCVS, the guidance for this assignment is on pages 86 - 88.

http://awardingbody.rcvs.org.uk/document-library/qualification-handbook-2010/

Very important - reference (correctly) from a good range of sources to show evidence of wide reading around the topic, and be reflective as much as you can - what happened? What could have been done better? (back up your suggestions with references)

Good luck!

Re: SAVN14 Assignment for Lvl3 DipVN

Won't your college show you an example assignment?
