It was a great experience, it was very busy, and we always did our absolute best for every animal that came through the door, dont expect air conditioning warm water or for you clients to undersatnd much of what you say. Go with an open mind and be prepared to work hard. I went there for a couple of days and was terrified. One of the lads we were with got robbed at gun point on the first night. It seemed like a beautiful island apart from that. Maybe we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time :-(. Im really keen to see practice over there so i may get in contact with them&lt;/p&gt;

In what way were you shocked? What did you find?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If it was me, I would start with a short term placement - I am sure they are always happy for you to stay longer or return if you wanted to if it is a voluntary position (Don&amp;#39;t know about 6month contract positions though as never looked into them.)&lt;/p&gt;
