I need to look at some biotin supplements for our rhino.... does anyone have a favourite? May have to try a few if she decides to be fussy - most likely!
Thanks!

Re: Biotin supplements for hoof-health

Thanks, I am googling madly!

She is hand-feedable and loves a tickle but anything new is scary! Dry leaves are scary, keepers wearing their hair a new way is scary, plastic bags are TERRIFYING!!!! Gee, I don't know why they are endangered.....

We won't want to change her diet in any way though (that would also be scary...) so more looking for liquids and powders (although powder potentially also scary, this ridiculous animal is about 2000kg by the way) we can hide in her usual feed.

Making a spreadsheet to weigh up pros and cons!

Re: Biotin supplements for hoof-health

Farriers formula might be the easiest as it comes in a pellet which can be easily mixed into her normal ration or fed from the hand............. ha ha ( if she is tame enough) ??
