I def don't agree with what the Curly Wurly makers are saying...they lie!!! Although i do agree my mouth has grown somewhat lol!

I Miss sherbert spaceships. They do still sell them, but they do not have the same melt in your mouth feeling.

Sorry never liked wagon wheels. They used to be the only thing apart from Bovril on sale after my swimming lessons.

My mouth must have definately got bigger, cos I didn't use to be able to get a whole wagon wheel in my mouth, and I can now! How childish!!!! or ............................?

There was a discussion on Radio London i think , re sweets from their childhood and they all thought most had got smaller. One present remembered wagon wheels coming in open packets- not sealed!

The makers of curly-wurlies put out a statement this week saying that curly-wurlies have NOT changed size in the last 20yrs!

Curly Wurlys have DEFINATELY shrunk over the years VIcky....I so agree! They have also got softer... they use to be so chewy that they would pull your dentures out if you weren;t careful! (if you had dentures, that is!!) (I don't/ didn't!!)

Curly wurlys have also shrunk over the years! My grandad used to buy one for me when he went to get his paper (he got them because he liked the name!) and he used to complain that they were getting smaller each time! Bless him.

Oops Caro - sorry, just read your post. Do you think Stardust and Spacedust are the same thing? It wouldn't surprise me that kiddies got carried away with it. H&S would have a field day with it these days, I bet.

Finnigan - I remember Spangles with real fondness. My faves were Old English - there were some weird flavours in there. All my friends hated them which suited me fine - all the more for me.

Space Dust - the granulated stuff that fizzed and crackled in your mouth. And caused a volcanic reaction if you added coke or lemonade - blew the top of your head off!

I remember my sweets different country but l still miss them, one thing l loved was powdered jelly, yummmm.

For here l remember stardust. It became l think illegal when a few kids put so much in their mouths they died.
