Thanks very much everyone for your replies, means a lot :)

Unfortunately the dog was put to sleep the next day :( was gutted but holding on to the fact that her owners at least got to be with her and say goodbye.

Really made me determined to do this, been working at it long enough! 6 long years but hopefully I'm getting there

well done you! Its funny how in that situation your nursing instincts come in to play and what you previously worried about just kind of happens. Also a successful resucitation doesnt always happen so well done for monitoring and noticing the signs early enough to do something about it!

Well done! sounds like a cardiac tamponade which is one of the reversible causes of cardiac arrest.

No kidding, well done! Resuscitation isn't easy at the best of times and yes, most times it doesn't happen. Congratulations - see, you know your stuff! :)
