We got a transcript from them today. But we asked for the actual recording, the transcript is a fake as some of the answers appherently given to them none of the staff even knows what that mean and so therefore would never had said it.

I am interested in that statement you mentioned.

Feel certain that the name was G.E.M Hygeine (said as letters, rather than the word gem). 99% sure. Difficult when I didn't take that much notice at the time! They said the name right at the beginning when I picked up the phone - Hi its John from G.E.M. Hygeine - then they just waffle on for ages & by the end of the call, you're just glad to be rid of them!

A company has called us a couple of times recently (can't for the life of me remember what they were called though). They say thanks for talking to them & by way of a thank you, they are sending some wine (never got it - boo!). They waffle on for ages about the products & then say, so what is your address for sending the items....so I guess unless you stop them there, you are going to receive alot of unwanted cleaning products. Maybe their name will come back to me - it was definitley a 3 letter word, so possibly GEM.

I will follow this up in the few days so I would appreciate it if anyone could let me know about any cases that weren't mentioned when we last reported on it in November.

If any practices are still being pursued for 'administration fees' for returning unwanted products, please get in touch and I can send you the statement by Gems in which they promise to not pursue these fees.

I cant believe people are still falling for this after I brought it up in the old vet nurse site after being tired of being pestered by gems.

A word about GEMS Hygiene: Their products are NOT samples and their products DONT work! You will have to pay for them.

I would like to follow this up in VN Times. The company was on record before (in vet times) saying that they would not pursue 'administration' fees for unwanted products, but they clearly are still doing so.

Has anyone been targetted by them recently? Have any of their practices changed? I have heard that they are no longer recording their sales calls. Has anyone else heard this?

this may be of use to some of you - next time they call get the number and register them as a nuisance caller so their calls can be blocked from getting through to your practice in future

This company are a real nightmare. They phone the surgery several times every day. We are repeatedly telling them we are not interested in buying any of their products. It makes no difference whatsoever.

I would do what has been advised head for the police asap for a start. But yes also l am sure there is others here who have had luck against the company.
