How your practice or pet shop deals with this is down to their discretion. I'm not an SQP but I'm trusted by my boss to put up all flea and worming products including Advocate etc if the animal has been seen in a year. All dispensed products should be double checked and counter signed by another qualified member of staff, but in realty do we always have time to do this? Do we have time to grab an SQP every time someone wants a worming tablet? Think it's another one of those rules that hardly anyone follows...unless I've got it completely wrong??
