Aww thanks that is brilliant!! My friend did say that I wouldnt have much trouble but he is an accountant so thought I'd make sure myself!

Id be heading Brisbane way initially so knowing that UK nurses are sought after and jobs are out there is enough for me. Roll on qualifying xx

yes thay are and they love UK nurses!! I have been here for the past year and had 4 locum jobs - 3 in Melbourne and 1 in Brisbane.
Its been great and such a more chilled out atmosphere to work in. You can find jobs on Kookaburra.com - post your own profile or search.
I highly reccommend it, I have learnt soooooo much and also seen lots of Australia with my time off between jobs. The wages are good and you can save lots for either when you go home or partying/ travelling while your here!!!

Here's what you need to do to register as a VN in the UK once you are qualified. You should contact the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons directly as they used to have a standard list of qualifications from NZ, Oz etc that were deemed equivalent to the UK quals. (IE my NZ diploma in Vet Nursing was fine but the NZ cert is not...) If you absolutely know you will be coming over here then I'd make sure the course you're about to spend a lot of money, time and effort on is going to be up to par.

Id like to do the opposite - Im just about to begin my training here in the UK and would like to work in Oz once qualified (I have friends & family out there)

Are the UK qualifications accepted out there?

Any help / advice most appreciated!! x
