Definitely use GAs to practice placing i/vs tho....I'm so glad most of our vets place them now so us SVNs can jump in and practice!

I actually don't think it's an odd place to put it, if you get an emergency or critical case come through one of the first things you want to be doing is placing an iv line whether it is to give pain relief, or ivft or even sedation for imaging, where as there are still a lot of practices that don't place IV lines for GA's/PTS's but maybe thats just the way my mind works
