This is a bit of a moan, but here goes...
I'm a VN (not registered) who has returned to nursing after a long break. I was so excited when a local practice offered to take me on in a nursing role part-time. I have been there now for nearly 6 months

Re: Time to Quit nursing?

I've just returned to nursing after a 7 year break, luckily I re registered before my 5 yrs were out and had to retrain. Done 3 days so far and loving it, the vets have had me blood testing, tubing, knocking out. It's only a small 2 vet practice but enjoying it.

Re: Time to Quit nursing?

[quote user="Hippie Chick"]
Hi Mark,

Stating anything new or returning to an ever changing veterinary environment can be challenging on ones confidence.

Happy to discuss further off line if you wish to get in touch

All the best

Kindest Regards

Don't fight this on your own. Also, definitely definitely sign up for some CPD - times do change and after a few years out of the saddle things do move on a bit. Pick your top two problem areas and find a good day course to do some intense brushup. Your profile says you're in the Midlands, I believe - you're a bit far out of my neck of the woods but you'll be spoiled for choice, quite a few CPD companies out there in the central midlands to choose from.

Also webinars, there are some really great lectures out there. A bit of up to date knowledge will do wonders for your confidence! This might actually solve both of your problems!

Cheers,
