Just wondered if anyone knows about any funding for over 25yr olds to start the VN diploma?
DART will fund some of it but i have to go to Bottle green which i know is brill but my practice wants me on a 2yr course rather than a 3yr

Re: Funding

Funding depends a lot on your individual circumstances. As a general rule, funding for 24+ years old is often harder than 19-24; that said, after next year I understand it's going to be all Learner Loans for 24 years old +.

In a hamfisted way Learner Loans are an improvement; you don't have to jump through so many hoops to qualify, and you won't have to pay them back until you make over 21,000 a year. Which is bad because not a lot of nurses make that much, but good because - well, you don't have to pay them back, so it's essentially funding. I'll bet you sixpence that this loophole will get closed after a year or so.
