I decided to give up my princess isabelle as since I was made redundant last year I found it difficult to keep myself working and housed in the recession. I decided that it wasn't fair on her to keep moving her about with me. And thouggh after months I am still heart brooken I know I made the right choice. She now lives with a disabled friend of a friend. She is spoilt beyond belief, is barely on her own, I get updates but I don't see her in real life as I wouldn't want to confuse her. The understanding is also that if evver her new owners decide they can't keep her for any reason she comes back to me to either live in the hope that my life be back on track should it ever happen.

I miss isabelle every day. I took her in when she was small enough to fit in a tea cup. But it was her needs that always came first and always will.

Re: may need to rehome my cat :0(- thoughts?

Hi thanks for your input!

I would prefere to rehome direct so I know who has him etc. Dad aslo wants him gone ASAP, not prepared to wait untill house sold :0(

So anyone know of anyone who might be interested? East Devon area.

Would you not also feel guilty if you had to keep him indoors when he loves to go outside?
I work for a charity in London, and we see a lot of rehomers for lots of different reasons. It is always incredibly hard on the owners making the decision to rehome, but it is generally for the welfare of the animal.
It is so hard to keep a cat indoors that has had access to the outside. I know that our rehoming centres will only home to people with garden access, and do thorough home checks to make sure they right pet goes to the right owner. And I think most charities are good at this.

I empathise with you, as I had to rehome my two dogs several years ago, it was such a hard decision, but it was in their best interests. I also got a card from the people who rehomed them, with a couple of pictures to show how happy they are. That helped a lot.

You could always ring up your local rehoming centre and have a chat, and see what they're rehoming system is like, to put your mind at rest?

Let us know how it goes,
Vicki x
