In need of help.
Looking for some comfy footwear. My feet are killing me by the end of a very busy day, so was wondering what people wear and find comfy!

I just got some Saucony running shoes delivered to the practice today from ebay. They are a bit chunky, but the grip and ankle/arch support are amazing. Hopefully I will have a spring to my step tomorrow! Looked up some reviews of them on running sites and the only down side were the slippery laces, but nothing a double knot won't fix.

http://www.sportsshoes.com/product/SAU990/saucony-lady-progrid-xodus-2,0-trail-running-shoes/

Saucony are a great brand, as the leather-free ones are all 100% vegan - no wool/silk is used for the cushion filling, and the glue they use is not animl-derived. Rare find for a big name brand!

The dress code is very different and so are the shoes! Our uniform is a tunic , black trousers and ballet type shoes. It was the shoes that sank my heart. Im used to sneakers and scrub pants. Being a vet nurse of 22 years I thought that a drastic change in uniform would be next to impossible. But, for years I wore crocs. The ugly wide ones with holes, but i didnt care what they looked like, I cared how they felt! I have been wearing a line of crocs that come in ballet style shoe.....GENIOUS! I fit into the dress code at work AND have a comfortable back/legs/feet after a full shift. Hope this helps you, and good luck in your shoe quest.. :)

Re: FOOTWEAR

When it's warm, I wear my cheap version of Crocs - they cost me a fiver and are really comfy only downside is they're REALLY slippy on a wet floor. When it's not so warm, I have an old pair of Vans that I wear.

My problem isn't wide feet, my feet have always been pretty narrow and I tend to get a lot of blisters due to rubbing from bad fitting trainers. But I've lived with it for years now. My mum used to complain about having to buy expensive shoes from Barratts when I was a kid, LOL.

Re: FOOTWEAR

I wear nike air trainers, they fit like a glove and they are very pliable and soft for when you're on the floor holding an animal and for standing on your tip toes.
But I've had them for a few years now and I am needing a new pair after wearing them day in, day out - which I am dreading - because I don't wear leather. So the options are cheap plastic sweat-inducing tat, or trawling through the net for days, weeks, ?months trying to find a vegan/synthetic pair which costs less than £60.

Are there any other vegetarians/vegans on here? Where have you bought your shoes from in the past? I've tried wearing black canvas pumps with socks but the pumps are cheap and the soles are so thin and crap after a day on your feet, you seriously know about it!
