no i'm really just thick!! i didn't get what you meant!! lol i only worked out what jabs were when i started working at my first vets. i was always so confused when people would say it. hahah

yeah we use it sometimes, with over amouris doggies....castrate them and give them a jab, sometimes a wk later, i dont really know anything more about it really.

ha ha just reading these reminded me of an american woman who used to bring her cats in - every year - to be annialiated (sorr BAAAAD spelling!!) when in fact she wanted the innoculated (sp again!!).......poor little cats.....

- I had similar request years ago from a persian breeder - asked for semtex when she wanted katalax. That must have been one constipated persian

and has anybody else come across the tardis injection (tardak)

We have the classic line, several times a day, of "I'd like my animal to be spaded". Everytime I get visions of chasing the poor dog around with a shovel!!!

Lots of people think chips have some sort of GPS in them, and we've had a few who have been really surprised that the animal has to be scanned in order to have their chip number identified.

I had a lady in a few days ago who is doing a direct claim, it's her first pet and also her first claim. When I knew she was going to be claiming direct I asked her to pay the excess, of which she swore she had no knowledge of, that no-one had ever mentioned an excess from the insurance company - and whats the point of insurance if I have to pay £50 every time the dog is ill? Her claim is a lot more than £50!!!!

no Steph, I wouldnt say you are thick.

I was referring to the fact that vets give injections so many times a day of a combination of drugs and thought it funny as in, 'I'm here for an injection, ok, an injection of what drug??? hehe'

Dont even get me started on that one!!!!!!!!!! arghhhhhhhhh, like dippy I work for vetfone, and this is the biggest bugbear of my calls, along with cant you just tell me who the owner is if I describe the dog and where i found it?????? oh wait till I get my crystal ball then

At Vetfone, we take the out of hrs calls for Petlog and I've taken loads where they think I'm going to track it on my computer and tell them where it is. Nice to know they uderstand what they've paid for!

I like the sound of cookoo land though - sounds like my kind of place!!!

Me (thinking god, please get me out of here!): "A collar?!"

Haha sounds like our day yesterday...

Man comes in to collect his dogs insulin, i start walking to get it from fridge and he says "I have to go to the toilet, it's urgent, otherwise i'll do what Scooby does" (which is pee all over the floor!)! More information than i wanted to know thanks!!!! There were other odd ones throughout the day too. I think the nice weather is bringing them out of the woodwork!!
