I've got a fair few courses on this year; I have evening lectures on ECC during September and October at Potters Bar. I've got a Physiotherapy/Hydrotherapy introduction course in November, with a Hydrotherapy day session going up in early 2013.

www.caw.ac.uk - plenty on there; I know it's not super close to Essex but glad to see you if you're interested.

From what I can remember it takes 18 monthhs to complete so is quite a commitment and the exams are in scotland, but from what I had read it sounds like a good course for anyone wanting to learn more about dealing with emergancies.
