we do puppy parties at our practice but dont send out invites. why would you need too? we log all of the puppies that come in for their 1st vacc. in a folder and then the nurse that runs the parties phones them on a monday (the day before the party). we charge £5 per session and they come for an average of 4.

in answer to your question though re: invites.... virbac nurse support pack have some templates of invites. if we were to send out invites i would probably get a good selection from the reps and then draft your own copy using microsoft publisher.

i did this, they all looked really cool cept i could never get them printed cos they were designed in couler and double sided, so they arent even on display

We are just starting Puppy parties and produced all our own materials including leaflets, certficates, invites, all on Microsoft publisher! It doesn't look as posh as the manufacturers ones, but I think the clients like that its home made and got all the neccessary details on instead of promotion plugging waffle! Plus it means we coul put pics of our staff and our clients in there. Publishers got templates so you can just adjust them to how you want it - didn't take long at all, and with the practice logo on they look really good! I reccommend anyone to try it!

Thanks for all the useful tips,. We went with our own letters in the end and just added little clipart pics! Not a bad response, considering the late notice.

we'd also be interested in using DAP literiture in our puppy parties, so keep us updated!

We currently use ones from Intervet (although they are small) and Novartis. But they dont seem to get much responce. Last month I sent out 22 and only got 2 phone calls!.

I will be producing the new marketing materials for DAP and I am very keen to produce some useful materials for you to use in practice.

There has just been a really good trial published looking at the use of DAP in puppy classes and during socialisation, so it would make sense for us to help you with your puppy parties.

I can see you would like a nice colorful invite. Is there anything else you think would be very useful? What do you think?

We used to use Intervet's puppy party invites as we use their vaccines. But we now use our own, just because as already said, you can fit more info in your own!

We recently started up puppy parties and just designed our own letter as I didn't particularly any of the ones I'd seen around and could fit more information on them. I have seen Drontal ones and Hills ones in the past and we had a few postcards knocking around from someone else which were quite funky (will see if I can find one today and let you know whose it was) but again, not enough space to fit what we anted on them (I preferred to tell the client more about what it would involve etc in order to entice them to come!)
