Firstly i wish ypu both massive luck locuming and hope you enjoy it! I locumed for 4 years on and off so know how daunting it is to going to different practices where everything and everyone is new.

I would say that its always worth while finding out what the practice protocols are- some practices are very set in their ways and staff can be a bit funny if things are done even a little differently to what they are used to. So just find out exactly how they like things done. Always suss out what drugs they use as everywhere uses different versions (esp flea/worm tx etc) and that can get pretty confusing- especially when talking to clients. Ask if you arent sure of anything instead of guessing.

I found locuming a bit stressful at first especially coming out of training practice. You will feel like a student again at first because you will find the practice works very differently to what you are used to! Just try and be confident in your ability.

Go with the flow! Just try and be super friendly to everyone and you should get on fine. And enjoy it! PDSA work i imagine is quite different to normal 1st opinion practice so just enjoy and learn from the experience.

Not really any other advice really lol. Good Luck!
