I think Alison has given a more in depth response, like you Athina, I don't wear nail varnish or make-up.

Okay, I'll wear something smart then! and don't worry about make up or nail polish, I never wear any!

Also Bex I am looking to start a career in VN since I've just finished University, though I am hoping I can get a job as a student Veterinary Nurse

I agree with Bex. Plus:... (You might have also considered the following, so my apologies if so....)

No overdone make-up or jewellery and understated perfume if you're going to wear some. Clean, short nails and ditch the bright polish for a plain/neutral tone if you wear it - (none is better). Ensure your shoes are clean/polished and tidy. (Hmmm, I'm beginning to sound like my Mum, next thing is I will be telling you off for wearing a short skirt... ha ha, - sorry! - But a tidy, neat and understated appearance would show you have an understanding of what is expected for your appearance as a nurse).

I personally would wear something smart, black trousers and 'shirt' type top.

Are you looking to start VN or are you one, if you are already one then could always go for the reliable uniform.
