Some head nurses have a title but do very little different to the rest of the nursing team, whereas others do stock control, admin, rotas, have to cover every time a colleague is off sick and no one else is willing to do overtime etc etc. If you would be doing a considerable amount more than before or than everyone else, then yes, I'd expect a reasonable amount of recognition but if the former, probably a smaller rise would be fair. Can you give us some idea of the role?
