Firstly, I'd be well pi**ed off if I was Merial and secondly, I am deeply disappointed that the VMD have not replied. Time for a letter me thinks

I think VMD may need to spend a bit more on their site - so it actually works! cant get on there at all. another demonstration that the SQP is a waste of time and money too as it looks like anybody will be able to sell anything soon!

You Don't need to be an SQP to sell this. I can't remember why but it may be on the BM site

The one I saw was 50mg for cats, didnt see a bigger one, so not sure

Especially when there is dosage involved or does BM do all weights with just one pipette unlike Advocate etc?

I dont think there is too much to worry about to be honest - we sell another fipronil product in the practice I work and having checked out the BM prices we are selling at a comparable price..... so pricewise unless you have a really huge markup you can still be in line with their prices. Presumably as there is all the hoo har on only SQP's selling the stuff its still going to be fairly restricted unless its internet sales, PAH or somebody else that wants to employ a SQP (I suppose you might get it in supermarkets with their own pharmacy but I dont think you will be finding it out on the shelves with the dog and cat food somehow so I dont think its going to be that 'accessible'?)

If BM are taking on fipronil and ceasing the cat killing spot ons I am all for it, if it saves a few lives

I would defo check the dosage of the drug. I have been concerned about this too, I doubt the strength will be the same but who knows?!
