When i went to buy 2nd class stamps it was 12 for £7 considering the money it would have cost me and the serious lack of it , i wasnt prepared to bin over 100 pieces of paper so thats why i drove round and hand delivered them . Your probably thinking the petrol would have cost u a fortune ect ect . Im lucky to own a diesel car that is incredible on petrol !!! it cost me £10 in 6 hours of driving so yipee for me lol .

The reason i chose to send hard copies in the first place was because the few vets i had popped into asked to be sent details in the post . The other vets im going to be emailing i think as it saves time alround really , even though i did enjoy my little adventures in the car and getting lost :) thank god for satnavs !!!!!! xx

Re: An update on job hunt from me .............

I have to say I would email them too. I don't really understand why you would choose to hand-deliver them, whilst your dedication is admirable, from my experience there is no real advantage over posting - I only speak from experience as I have done a lot of recruiting and I wouldn't consider a candidate who has hand-delivered a CV to have any advantage over one who has used other forms of applying. I know there has been some discussion about putting in chocolates, etc to try and increase your chances, but personally I would say that I find that quite weird (?bribery!!). The most important things are the qualifications and experience of the candidate and the presentation of the CV. As far as I'm concerned, the rest of it is fairly trivial.

I don't mean to sound critical, and I really do admire your perseverance and dedication, but I honestly think you could save yourself a lot of time and effort. I sincerely hope it pays off for you, though.

Re: An update on job hunt from me .............

I can totally understand why practices don't wanna store loads of paper CVs. I think if they're asking you to email then I'd email it.
