Sorry, I should have been clearer I meant ACA's..however I know some of the hospitals now use VCAs as ACA's XX

At my branch in Gillingham which is covered by VetsNow, the VCAs don't do nights, the ACAs do. The only time a VCA would be required to do a night is if an ACA is sick and none of the others can cover, but this is very rare.

Where I did work exp (Romford, Essex) the hospital wasn't open at night and was covered by Vets Now at another local PDSA hospital a few miles away. There had to be a VCA on the premises at all times tho - there was always one there overnight, all weekends and every Bank Hol - inc Xmas Day.

Not all of them are (covered by VetsNow) ..Manchester's certainly isn't ..the VCA's do nights there lone working and clean, look after inpatients and answer the phones to redirect emergencies to the hospital that covers them ( which is where I work). At Derby PDSA the VCA's do nights and work alongside the Vets Now staff and this is the same at Nottingham and Bristol..so would assume that even when there is a VetsNow in the case of VCA's they still do nights on most sites..it's just PDSA Vn's who don't when there is a VetsNow on the premises

PDSA are covered by Vetsnow, so I don't think it will!

Thanks. That's pretty much all I could find too. I know it will be shift work but I wanna know if that includes nights.
