Yes, i was looking at doing 'scoughs 2 year block release program, which works down to 37.5 if a dont have a holiday or get sick (working off your 3000 hours and estimating 10 months to a year to allow for the deficit left by it not actually being 2 full years as you will have the summer at the end of your second year)... and i never go on holiday and i avoid getting sick wherever possible.

just need to get this money, find a practice and away i go! hopefully...

one hopes if i will work for practically nothing and pay my own course fees it shouldnt be too difficult to find a place to train...

When I was an SVN, it was over 3000 hours over the length of the course, which I easily covered by doing a 40 hour week. You have to discount holidays/sickness etc. I can't seem to find out what the required hours are now, whether they have changed or not, but I assume there are still minimum hours?

head was so blagged i was looking at what i think are all the relevant websites i could think of but just couldnt pick it out... (if its even there)

i have done the 2 jobs thing before. i know how tiring it can be... i would simply be worried about doing 1.5 jobs and not having time for the college work.

maybe i will take the missus' suggestion and run my own business on the side then i can do it ad-hoc and fit it around me... mail order brownies anyone. hehehe

ok... now just to get the money and find a practice that would like to do me a solid... anyone? hehe

It pretty much works out that you have to work 37.5 hours a week to get the relevant hours in the training period. I'm sure you could break this 37.5 hours down to whatever you want as long as you manage to do the right hours (I think it's about 500-odd? Can't remember exactly).

When I was training I also had a part time job in a bar to make extra money and it was difficult. Some weeks I was working about 60-70 hours between the 2 jobs.
