I used suction pulse ox and blood pressure monitor and some orthopaedic instruments. CC signed me off and college said it was fine logged about 10 things in total not that the number logged matters.

As a CC, I was told by the college that it is anything that doesn't always live in theatre - ie an instrument trolley.

It was would so much easier for CC's and students if things on the NPL (ie set up kennels/bandaging to name but a few) weren't all spread out

I used spare instruments, needles kits, sterile bandage, any extra equipment that needs using during a surgery... and it was actually 'sampled and satisfactory' by the RCVS!

My CC thought it meant the suction machine :S

It seems on here, people think it means passing extra instruments to the vet, but surely that cannot be correct because there is a previous skill for 'open & pass sterile materials'.

What should we be logging the use of??

Thanks for the above, I have used bitch spay forceps and spay hook already, so just need maybe a couple of others.

Just needed to check I was on the right path.

Its bascially providing the surgeon with additional spare instruments and equipment relating to surgery such as towel clips, spay hook, artery forceps, diathermy equipment, theatre lights etc.
