this is ridiculous - insurance companies

Re: damaging the reputation of value of insurance

[quote user="F1chick"]

They don;t cover '

Any costs associated with routine or investigative laboratory tests or procedures unless the clinical signs /symptoms exist and the tests and procedures are to diagnose a specific condition. '

I'd argue the toss with that one! They have some random exclusions reading their policy document. External lab fees up to £20 only? What can you get done for £20?!

i wow!

I think i will give the client a call and ask them to call insurance company to querry or give them permission to speak to me.

So routinely testing the diabetics/Hyper or Hypothyroids/Cushings and any number of lifelong conditions is, in their eyes, not part of the condition?? Don't insurance companies have Vets or VNs that work for them to settle these types of things? It's obvious an animal on lifelong meds will need routine bloods to make sure the meds are still doing their job.

Re: damaging the reputation of value of insurance

we had dealings with a company called 'pet-insurance.co.uk' turns out they are under written by E&L and if you try to talk to them you get E&L!!!
