Oh, me too! There are differing variations of reiki which have been developed over the years. I practise Usui reiki which is the original form. If you're anywhere near Stockport, that's where I went for my first and second degrees and the lady was lovely. Let me know if you want the details.

There are loads of courses around if you google it, I'm sure you will find something in your area. Which part of the country are you in?

I am a reiki practitioner and use it in my everyday life. I also find these days that I can regularly feel hotspots on animals in the correct area prior to bloods or diagnosis although have only ever found one vet who believed/took any notice of this - he was into acupuncture and would examine an animal re injury/muscle pain and then I'd scan with my hands and almost always pick out the same points.

You'll probably also find that as you continue to practice, whenever you hold hands with someone, your hands will very quickly get all hot and sweaty as the energy naturally flows. It's great for soothing animals at work although be warned, many more vets I have met seem to be sceptical than not!

I LOVE reiki, I have had it done a few times, and as Fi said you feel totally amazing, definitely recommend it.I went in with an open mind.......... or should I say a "dumb" mind, /I had not idea what it was or about, but went along more for a laugh than anything else, but have to say it was brilliant

Down your body you have chakras, which control your energy levels (amongst other tihings) - each chakra is responsible for various parts of your body. Reiki is healing by laying on hands at various parts of your body and "opening" the chakras to unblock the energy. I maybe haven't explained that very well but all you really need to know is that it was fantastic.

My Reiki Master picked up today, about my bad back & my gut stuff - neither of which she could have known about. I was quite sceptical about this until she pin-pointed the exact area my back has been hurting.

Well done you- its something i have read quite a bit about but never done anything about it. I wonder exactly how many of us are around who do the complimentary stuff - have certainly seen quite a few on the old forum

How does Reiki work? I'm really interested in massage etc but not heard much about Reiki? I'd love to know more x
