As much as I love my practice & all the staff, all the theory i'm learning I won't put into practice due to the

Re: Moving on..

I reckon your practice would understand if you're leaving to put your skills into action - and I'm sure that if you have a good relationship with the staff they would have you back should you decide locumming isn't for you or you don't find what you are looking for :) It is well worth it, I have gained so much from locumming, only small animal, but I am so glad I started when i did :D Good luck!

Re: Moving on..

I think that this is completely normal to feel like this. I qualified in Oct 2009 and the following Aug I had moved to referral practice to gain more experience. Unless you are tied by any contract to say you must stay for so long post qualification then there is no reason for you to feel bad. Leaving somewhere is always unpleasant but when it comes to decisions about your career you have to think of number 1. With regards to the equine side of things I couldnt help you there because Im all about the smallies. It wont do any harm to start looking what is out there and what is expected of you. Good luck!
