Shifts are pretty same as anywhere someone might have a quiet night with a few inpatients, then next shift might be busy. 

There&amp;#39;s also a couple of nurses that live close if it gets crazy busy, we don&amp;#39;t mind helping out. 

Like robocop says, it&amp;#39;s a challenge but a worthwhile one. &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Description of Practice&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;CVH
 is a tier 3 hospital that has just finished a major extension and 
refurbishment. There are two new operating theatres, scrubs area, 
imaging suite (all digital), nurses&amp;#39; station, cattery, dental suite, 
laundry, lab and training room. The prep room and kennels have been 
refurbished and the consult rooms, reception area and waiting room have 
been redecorated.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We have specialist vets in various disciplines which increases the variety of work for the nurses. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Duties&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Normal nurse duties although minimal time on Reception as we have an administration team.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our nurses do undertake night duties - expect a 1 in 6 weekdays and 1
 in 3 weekends. Average hours per week is about 43 as the night duty 
nurse doesn&amp;#39;t start until 4pm and finishes around 9am the following 
morning&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Qualifications Required&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[Qualified Veterinary Nurse&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pay&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Depends on experience - negotiable during interview&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;CPD is funded and encouraged&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Other Requirements&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;CVH is staffed by10 nurses and
 so team work and the ability to get on is essential. This position 
would suit someone who is able to cope with a high workload so is either
 experienced in a busy hospital, or is looking for a more challenging 
role&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
