might be one of these companies that collect contact details so that third parties can add them to mailing lists... :-(

yes that sounds like it, I haven't had a call myself, but as you said..I don't think there is too much that they can do with a phone number? wierd. .

I have contacted the RCVS and again they are aware. Apparently they are trying to figure out why they are doing this and what they are going to do with the info they have... Not much they can do really I think.

I had a call like that earlier this week saying she worked for the RCVS and enqiuring whether I had done a feedback form and she asked for a phone number and unfortunately I gave her my number so I'm a bit :-S???
