i did the course a long time ago but i thought it was a very good basis to start from. i have got several mates that have since done it and thought the same. x x

I havnt heard of this course - proberly due to the fact that we havnt seen a rep from that company for ages. Im also interested in a CPD eve being held at the Radission at heathrow on dental problems, but do not know which company is organising the event or who to contact!

i recall doing this years ago but i dont recall having to order loadsa stock from them.

I did it a few years ago too. It is book based and mostly a recap but I thought it was well written and wasn't too technical - if I can say that ;)

It's well worth doing if you have the chance :)

I di it a long time ago with Pharmacia before they were bought over by Pfizer. Its a very good course to do and its sort of based around Antirobe, so if your practice uses it, it should work out ok. After the course you'll have all your patients on pre & post antibiotics (Antirobe of course)

I really enjoyed it - learnt a lot & got some fab dog & cat dental models cos I got top marks. Its well worth doing.

Hi, I did this course a couple of years ago. From memory (so might be wrong!) you have to order £500 worth of Antirobe. Idea is to prescribe post dental. To be honest my boss at the time always used synulox post dentals so the rep okayed it for us to order £500 of Synulox instead, think it worked out as 2 boxes of each mg which took no time to get through. So maybe you could negotiate??

As far as the course goes, it was OK. You get a book with all the information in and multiple choice questions to answer in order to pass. Very similar in format to the Hills nutrition courses. I cant say I really learnt anything new but was good as recap of the a+p of teeth and FORL's etc.

If you can get deal from the rep so your boss doesn't have too much stock then probably worth doing as counts for quite a few hours CPD.

I havent heard of it Rachel though the stock issue would be a worry! I guess it depends on how you would/could use the stock. If it was well enough dated, maybe it would be ok? Or do you have a branch practice who you could share stock with?
