anyway - noticed one day it vanished this was 11 years ago! never come back!

Re: Wrist Ganglion

Hi Kerry

I had a small ganglion on my L wrist below my thumb for years and years. It wasn't as painful as yours sounds (except when I inadvertantly whacked it!) and my doc was of the wait and see variety. Eventually it ended up being just sort of - well, 'there' really until about 6mths ago I was talking about it to someone (you know how these random conversations crop up) and noticed that it had completely disappeared. So far it hasn't come back either.

So I guess my advice would be - unless it's really bothering you I'd leave well alone...

Re: Wrist Ganglion

aaah interesting thanks for the advice. Everyone I've spoken too so far has really put me off the surgery option as they said it can come back again after the surgery.

I will go and see the docs

Re: Wrist Ganglion

Hi Kerry

My son who was only 18 at the time had a ganglion on his foot. The doctor sent him to a specialist who operated on it and all the biopsies came back negative. It hasn't grown back, this was done about 18 years ago now. I would strongly suggest you see a doc about it, otherwise it will come back more frequently and larger!

Good luck!!
