Absolutely agree 100% with all of the above.

My husband is also ex army. Its time we all engaged our freedom of speech which is something we havent done for a while in this country for fear if being labelled racist or similar! We do not want or need that kind of behaviour here.

I haver read the paper today, and especially the replies form like minded people who were annoyed and dissapointed at the treatment of out soldiers from the reports in yesterdays papers

I have to say that they were as angry and unforgiving as me.

The thing it is such a shame, because you can just see people not being able to differentiate between a muslim and someone with terorist preachings or terroristic idealistic attitudes.

What annoyed me today when reading more was someone, who works in the baggage area of an important Airport was actually present demonstrating, and inciting hatred towards our soldiers.

I am sorry but it is time to send them on their way, get them out of here, we do not need this cancer in our country.

One even had the cheek to say that our soldiers had a cheek parading.....in their own country!!!!!!!!!!! as there was a huge muslim community(within their own country), and they knew it would cause problems, and in the future not to parade in their !!!!!!!!!!! community............

i totally agree with this post!!! i am NOT a racist but i know when people are taking the piss!!! for e.g. i was walking through a shopping centre with my mum and some guy was very creepily staring at me (he just happened to be asian) so my mum sed stop glaring at my daughter so he shouted stop calling me a paki, WTF!! i can guarantee you all she dint say anything of the sort, it just iritates me that we as a country offer them asylem and then they abuse the people who actually live here and if they dont get something their own way they use the racist card, it isnt fair they wouldnt be allowed to do this in their own country so why do it in ours!!

(its also different wen they call us names to do with our colour, its not racist then!)

Unfortunately I think that all "civilized" societies have major freedom of speech issues in that only certain people have the freedom to speak / act!!! Everyone's just so scared of offending someone else because these days, it seems, that no matter what you do, someone will be offended! So now, even fighting in a war is a reason for offence - ridiculous

Unfortunately our country is not our own anymore. The bleeding heart liberals and a soft Government have handed it on a plate to those 'minorities'.

It doesn't matter what the politics are behind where our troops are where they are. They're not fighting for the politics, they're fighting for the guy next to them.

If people in this country cannot support those that would protect us should we need it, then I say let them fend for themselves.

Our troops are our heroes, and will always be welcomed wherever I am.

My OH is in the RAF and has been for the past 12 years - he's been to Iraq and Afgan and the people who demonstrated this week should be shipped back to where they came from - they are happy rto take the benefits that this country seems to want to throw at them, so if they don't like it then they can just dissapear....we are far too soft on people like that in this country.

Hi Everyone,

I totally agree with all thats been said. These fine folks who get sent out to fight on our behalf deserve so much more when they return home to their family and friends not to be faced with what has happened recently.

I dont agree with war but would like to say a big thank you to the men, women and animals used to help give and maintain the freedom we now take for granted.

I will definitely go along with the saying anything untoward, and that is why I fully expect this thread to be removed.It is getting to the point that people cant say or do what they feel freely unless you are a muslim, or a refugee.

I heard it today and it made me angry too. I'm not a fan of war (not that I'm a peace loving hippy or anything) but I don't think it's the guys who work in the forces fault by any stretch. If any one is to blame then blame the f***ing w**k government that is managing us. My new lodger is ex forces and he's a mint bloke, the salt of the earth, honest reliable and an all round guy, the sort you would want on your side (forgive the pun).

Free speach is DEAD. Sorry to say that but it's true and very very sad, that doesn't just relate to this topic but many many more and it's truley sad and I'm begining to hate this country and all it stands for because we are becoming the minority , I'm not the only one who feels this way it's just that people are brain washed into thinking otherwise or too frightened to say anything untoward.

I find it totally disgusting, those people should either be arrested or moved away from the parades. I know we bang on about freedom of speech, but if that was a football crowd you can bet your ass there would have been mutiple arrests, but because there is a sensitive nature towards certain cultures..... who gets off with it and who gets arrested. It's all wrong.

Also I will be one of those arrested if my daughter comes home to that disgusting excuse for human beings.
