Hi Busy Bee, as a past chairman of the Practice Standards Group, I can help a bit, there is no specific size for a freezer, but the inspector will expect to see one that can cope with the throughput of the practice, so it will depend very much on how frequently you have collections, what is your average caseload & how would you cope if there was any collection delay or eg fairly large cadavers ( how many St Bernards???). Thank you so much for your reply :-D That is really helpful thank you. Unfortunately I don't have a logo to send to you here but I'm sure ours should be ok.

Everytime I seem to get somewhere I hit another wall! Will get there eventually!

I am not sure of what the minimum freezer size is but suggest asking the PSS team to put you in touch with your inspector (or the head inspector) and perhaps they can help you.

With regards to the logos, no, generally speaking each branch does not need its own practice logos. Where you might come stuck on this is if the logo (which was designed for a specific practice premises) stipulates that that practice premises is a Hospital (or a General Practice) i.e. I don't think you can stick a logo up that might say e.g. "NewTown Hospital" on a branch which is not an accredited Hospital. But you can stick a logo up which says e.g. "Newtown Practice Group" at any of the practice premises which are in the group. Its all got to do with making sure you arent misleading the public in any way. Also, if you are using the PSS Logos which stipulate the accreditation held, you would have to be careful that you are using the correct logo for that practice premises, but if you want to keep things simple, I think that there is a general logo available for use at any accredited practice premises (regardless of the accreditation held).
