I belong to an american site lots of courses some free and others pay for, they count to cpd as are fully veterinary only thing to be aware of is the words/drugs can sometimes be different. http://www.vetmedteam.com/home.aspx

Get in touch with your local BVNA RCO if you have one. Talks are normally held in the evenings and dont charge too much, roughly £10-14 for members

The RVC do some good online CPD courses (mainly anaesthesia related). Try and get some nice reps to do some talks to the nurses and receptionists (most provide lunch) as this will count towards your CPD amount too.

IDEXX Webinars are available to nurses and vets. These on-line, interactive seminars are available free-of-charge to any IDEXX customer (in-house tests, in-house analysers or the reference labs) and a record of attendance is available at the end of the live events.

The presentations are non-commercial.

CPD solutions do online courses for nurses but it is very expensive. There are distance learning courses (e.g the COAPE behaviour courses) that count towards your CPD but these are also pretty expensive. depends what your practice will pay for I suppose....I think the RCVS can check CPD records to ensure people are keeping up to date and they will check if the practice is a member of the practice standards scheme. I also think it would go against you if you were called to a disciplinary hearing and your CPD wasn't up to date. I would like more affordable online stuff but doesn't seem to be happening at the moment.
