Katie the vet in Q is fantastic is a brill laugh and if told will l am sure grin and come out with some remark (unfortunately unless Aimee tells me l wont find out what) and the only practice l consider my veterinary home, they are all great at said place

That's a brilliant idea - a vet museum on (old) wheels.. Maybe I could try something similar with our 1971 Landy!

We use my old 1950's car as a display at the local agricultural shows as a 'vet on call' type thing with old equipment, drug packets, farm wooden medicine chest etc etc so anything going spare would be used!! I love all the old stuff!! Send me an email if you still have anything: pug555@msn.com

Someone pointed me to this post, and it sounds intriguing! We'd be interested in finding out more. We have a 'historical collection' which is mainly papers/book based, but we will always look at items that could be a useful addition. If we are not able to take them, we could suggest other organisations or individuals with collections that might well be interested. Why don't you get in touch with us? I sent boxes of stuff to the Herriot museum in Thirsk some years ago, I do wish I had kept some of the lab equipment now but it all went, I needed the room - books, record syringes and needles, antique (and yes I really do mean antique) surgical instruments, sterivac bottles from when people were preparing their own infusions,docking irons, some very old farriers tools, a couple of skeletons, assorted pickled beasties, old jars, pill boxes etc. Some of what I donated was very definitely given with the feeling that I would be contributing my bit to veterinary science by taking it out of circulation
