The target of 50,000 signatures has now been reached but until the petition is physically closed, you can continue to sign for as long as it will let you...

iv been posting the links on facebook, trying to encourage people to see whats happening and sign it. iv also told people at work. the video of the one nearly drowning reduced me to tears.

Judging by the tiny cages and trucks they used for the other animals, I'm willing to bet an elephant WILL fit on the back of one when the DNP do it...

Today, the DNP have entered the ENP 9Elephant Nature Park - another resceu centre very much like WFFT) with a warrant and plan to take 8 elephants, including 5 babies who were born there. Just 1300 more signatures needed......

A tiny but of good news (for once!) Apparently 3 of the civets taken in the riad have been returned. I'm still trying to find out how/why but it's a great start. Keep sharing the links... ;-)

Also, if you want to do something practical, I've copied this from WFFT's FB page:

We are going to compile a video to show the world the enormity of support we have received from all of you. If you would like to be involved, please record yourself, groups of friends, classes etc, no more than 5 seconds, stating, 'I/We support Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand. Bring the animals home.' in your native language. Please film from the waist up if recording individually. Send any videos to lucy.clark@wfft.org Thank you.

Edited this post as have just read the following tweet... Elephant Nature Park "generate all of your positive energy to the park tonight and tomorrow... (they) are sending their troups in again and this time it could get ugly...... pray pray pray.. say powerful mantras....."
Let's all hope that they don't receive the same treatment as WFFT.

Have also been following the updates on facebook since you first posted on here about them, and its absolutely devastating.

I cant understand how these people can clearly have no feelings, just tearing these poor innocent creatures from their cages, when obviously the people at the rescue centre are just doing their best for the animals welfare and obviously care about them so much.

Fingers, toes and everything crossed that they get them back and can only hope they are being treated with half an inch of respect that they deserve wherever they may be now.

Not watched video as I don't feel that I can but have signed petition after reading what it is for.
