Well, enjoy your last few months of freedom.. whichever topic you pick... you will live and breathe it and probably hate it when you are done! That said, there's nothing like that feeling of a completed dissertation!

You do have to be quite specific on your topic choice. I did mine on client compliance with myiasis prevention. - client compliance is pretty good as you can draw a lot from human nursing literature. - There's generally very little Vet nursing literature so a topic that you can look into human nursing for your literature review will prove useful to you.

Also, think now about how you will obtain your research. I sent out questionnaires to clients which was great for gathering statistics for graphs etc. I am much more mathematically minded so prefered a predominantly quantitative approach. However, if you suit qualitative analysis you may prefer a topic where people's opinions and ideas are explored. Of course you don't need to involve anyone else if you don't want to and coould lock yourself away ina lab and get the results yourself!

Although I collected a good response from clients, other people in my group didn't. I imagine obtaining reserach from veterinary professionals may result in a higher response rate- possibly...!

Just a few things to consider anyway, I know how daunting it can be but it will be worth it. Choose something you do enjoy though... the hatred will come much later if you do!! he he!

Good Luck!
