Take a look at www.thewebinarvet.com/virbac-webinars. The dental one in particular should be of interest.

I've just set up a website providing online CPD for vet nurses too - its www.ecpd-vetnurse.com. There is no subscription, and you 'pay as you learn' - the 30 minute tutorials are £10 - so you don't have to commit to spending your year's allowance. There are many speakers recording tutorials as I type, so over the next few months there will be a massive number of courses going live. Hope this helps...

Re: What to do with my CPD allowance?

You could try the CPD website Ive founded www.VetNurseOnline.co.uk which has a huge online CPD collection and your own personal members reflective blog. Or Id definitely also suggest www.oncoreepd.co.uk for a course itself - their Tutor taught me Professional Ethics online last year and it was fantastic.

Re: What to do with my CPD allowance?

I have set up a company with a friend (another nurse) and we provide online cpd for nurses at an affordable price. Look at:

Our webinars are approx one hour and you receive a certificate and notes. You can re-watch the webinar for up to a month. There is no subscription/ minimum
number so you pay as you go. Our next webinars are a two part analgesia with Katherine Howie RVN VTS(ECC) in march. You can buy both for £20 or choose one or the other for £15 each. We are currently seeking accreditation from the BVNA.

Other stuff to consider:

VN Cert ECC I've heard good things about as well as some of the improve stuff
The RVC run good online courses, the anaesthesia one a friend of mine went on and really enjoyed.

Hope that helps.
Good luck- learning new stuff is always fun :)
