I work in cat/dog only referral practice but I keep frogs myself and am very good friends with the owners of a reptile shop, they try and educate owners in the shop and also recommend a vet that they use for any problems.

when I was in normal practice we saw feather plucking and bunny teeth mainly as there are a few exotics practices around that we sent people with anything more exotic to lol

Re: how popular are exotics?

We see a lot of birds, and a lot of reptiles, usually bearded dragons, geckos, water dragons and corn snakes. Most unusual pet ive seen? Couple of skunks, some lemurs, marmosets, and with birds, have seen a few pet owls, blame harry potter for that one! :)

Usual problems you are seeing, mbd, feather pluckers etc. Wish people would do some research first. Grrrrr
