havnt started it yet but have got the go ahead from the boss that she will pay for it and i dont need to use my CPD allowance for it which makes it even better :) should be enrolling in the next week or two and will have till november next year to get it done which works out really well

Have you started this yet Elaine? How do you find it?

I'm hoping to get enrolled in the next few weeks, my boss has basically said i can use two years CPD allowance to cover it, but he just wants to read exactly whats involved. I love the exotic species we get in, though maybe don't see as many as i'd like. One of our vets is currently studying for her certificate, so i'll get to help her :)

yeah i got an email reply about an hour after i sent it with the information pack. my boss cant wait to get me on it and once iv this one done she has another one lined up for me too. we see all sorts of random animals from the usual cats and dogs to all kinds of reptiles and various birds ranging from budgies and parrots right up to kites and steppe eagles. i love working in exotic practice its my dream job

I emailed them about it and I got a reply from Mary Fraser pretty quickly with an info pack attached. Then asked my boss if I could use my CPD allowance for it but he didn't feel it was relevant enough to our practice (mixed practice).. Although I love exotics nursing, the most exotic creatures I get to see are more like the local wildlife than exotic pets..! So my boss does have a point sadly..!
