Looking for a bit of guidance or moral support before I send myself even more doolally!
We had a client bring a "stray" cat to the clinic earlier in the week. Checked for chip but none present. Bit of a raggy looking dude but great

Re: Stray cat dilemma, what would you do?

'fraid he belongs to someone, your client may have handed him in, but he isn't theirs. You don't have to give out the finder's details at all, and maybe you could offer some guidence to the client with regards to pet care. You could say to the finder that data protection works 2 ways and unfortunatly you can't say much about her "stray".

Re: Stray cat dilemma, what would you do?

You could maybe contact the owners to let them know you think their cat had been brought in to the surgery but you legally can't give her any details. She might at least be happy to hear he's still alive and just work a bit harder to find him.

I know I'd at least be happy to hear my pet wasn't lying dead on a road somewhere.
