The only problem is the books are a few years old now so not sure how much this will help .Has anyone done the new exams and can give me any advice as to whats in them. Worried about the equine content.

Re: Revision-Paper 1

Go through the qualification handbook for the relevant units and learn each part, and you will be fine x i found that the best way to do it as i was learning what i needed to instead of things that were irrelevant to that particular paper x

Re: Revision-Paper 1

Thanks for the help

Re: Revision-Paper 1

hi duncat,

Im in my 3rd year of the degree, and my finals are in 3 weeks so i feel your pain! Basically you have to be very strict with yourself, set aside a portion of your time and stick to it. Depending on the type of learner you are (visual,kinetic,auditory..google and you'll find definitions of these to find which one you are) work with that. so for me,visual, i do big spider diagrams with lots of colour, diagrams and pictures. i also read and make notes, then read the notes and highlight key points. There is a train of thought that says your short term memory can only hold 7 peices of information at a time, before the first bit gets forgotten (a bit like a conveyer belt) so i tend to work by revising 7 points then having a mini-break (facebook or here usually!) then re-reading them before moving onto the next bit. reward yourself, so if you have done 30 minutes take a break to go for a walk, have a biscuit etc whatever works for you. the 300 q&a are brilliant, learn them inside out and that alone will help alot. also if you can,get together with your class mates to revise.

and try not to stress!! (Something im not very good at lol)

good luck,hope this helped
