Technically you can't however I HAVE backdated stuff further than this when it was not opened for me for a month through no fault of my own. It was simply logged as the furthest date back that it could be and a note put on with the actual date. Seems a tad unfair if there is no way for her to log what she's been doing and I fully sympathize having been in this situation multiple times. I'd recommend she get her future clinical coach to speak to CAW (if you're RVC I'm assuming it's CAW) about the best way of going about documenting this evidence as it's not right that your friend should suffer just because of circumstances.

Yup, you can use accredited prior learning and also past experience. Also you can use simulations for certain parts that you are unable to get and for example, you can insert a catheter in and use it as a simulation for an emergency situation as usually intravenous catheters are inserted by a vet in an emergency situation. Also when doing a radiograph on a dog or cat for a lateral abdomen, at the same time you can simulate cervical spine etc, collimate and position etc but not take it and use it as a simulation as again that's something that is quite rare.

But as the others have said, the NPL can only be backdated two weeks, just like the portfolio.

u can always get the CC to enter a post explaining past experiences and prior learning that can be used as part of your evidence.

Yeah it won't let you log back more than 2 weeks. Im currently training and using it myself and its very annoying especially if i realise there was something i could have logged but didnt. I tried to do something yesterday and i was a day out! Very irritating! x

The log will only let you backdate 2 weeks unfortunately.
