Oh no rachel! that sounds like no fun at all..

TOday was worse than friday 13th, work wise. too many patients and not enough kennels, still, I like the constant rush, makes your day go quickly :)

I think everything just seems worse on Fri 13th.. damn superstition..

My fri 13th started at 1:15am with my 15-month old son projectile vomiting everywhere; himself, the bed, my OH, me, the floor. You name it, it had vomit on it This is why I chose to be a VN not a RGN.... cannot cope with human bodily fluids!
He screamed & screamed until gone 2 & I had to sleep down on the sofa with him as the bed was soaked, so didn't get a very good/comfortable night's sleep.

Later that day when I went to work, we seemed to be having a dr death day....literally like 10 or 12, the freezer was filling up, and I had my dog with me for a dental, who decided to breath-hold for what felt like forever we I connected him to the circuit....really freaked me out!

Both boys are fine now tho

I was surprised clients were still booking routine castrates and speys for that day. I wouldn't have done!!!!

i've never been superstitious but today managed to fall off my bike, landed on the left side of my face ( thats swollen up nicely!), badly bruised knee and leg. oops. Having said that I did manage to tip an entire cup of tea into my lap yesterday so maybe its just me!

Fridays aren't usually too bad for us, we only take emergency referrals on a fri but by the end of yesterday we had already accepted 4 to come in today and then another one got added to the list.( that's just in internal medicine)

I think we started the week with about 6 inpatients and saw 3-4 new cases on top of our revisits a day all week, as well as taking cases from other services, and emergencies that came in overnight.

we try and get our new cases imaged the same day they come in if we can but we have had knock ons all week!!

At one point today I had 16 patients in, thank god for team work and the wonderful patient care nurses. I think we have finished today with 12? inpatients on med so looks like the fun is going to carry on next week!!! Joy!

Steph sounds like our Monday and today. Today was hellish just because it is a Friday and Monday was just like it and I am on night duty as well tonight to cap it all off!!!!

Only ever had good luck on friday the 13th, its how you percieve it anyways. The whole superstition thing is a load of codswallop anyhow

I've had a pretty good day. I did think I was going to have a run in with the RSPCA at one point over an emaciated cat a client had found, but they suprised me and were very co-operative, so even that didn't cause too much hassle.
