Just spotted this thread!

The MSc that we are launching is not the same as our Diploma in Advanced veterinary Nursing. That is interesting though that some of the RVC course units can count to wards the diploma. I will feed that back to the MSc course leader. I apologise if I don't seem to know an awful lot but I am focussed more on the research side of things rather than on the teaching side. I am happy to find out info though if asked

ok so it is a diff course which you can then do more to top up to diploma.

Hey Zoe, yeah you have to do the DipHECVN which is 2 years (like the old style dipAVN) and then you have to do a dissertation to "top up" to the DipAVN classed as 3 year course now

i have loked on the websites and the way i have read it sugg i have t be registred vn and have done another course 1st . am i reading this correct.?

this is from the Myerscough website

To attain the RCVS DipAVN candidates must:

Be registered on the course by the RCVS
Successfully complete both the DipHE CVN and an additional module, the Integrative Project which can only be undertaken on successful completion of the DipHE CVN
The award of DipAVN is at the discretion of the RCVS

The RVC isn't the DipAVN, you can use parts of it towards an RCVS accredited course the only ones that will give you the true DipAVN (and the blue badge) are the ones run by Myerscough and Harper Adams
