Have any of you used your pets dry food to make into larger shaped biscuits? Do you have any recipes for this? I would love a try with some spare food we have at work to try making larger biscuits to sell for charity!

i had a hills talk yesterday at work, with regards to selling RD, in the pack they gave me is a recipe for making home treats using RD.

dry food

grind kibbles into flour using a blender.

mix with enough water to form a dough.

shape the dough into biscuits of desired shape and size.

bake in oven for approx 30 mins at 350 F, 180C or gas mark 5 until crisp.

TIP - use a biscuit cutter to create shapes.

wet food

cut bite sized peices bake in microwave for approx 2and half to 3 mins, or in conventional oven at 350F, 180C or gas mark 5 for approx 30mins until desired texture is reached.

NOTE- home made treats should be stored in fridge for no longer than 5 to 7 days to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.

Hills recomend that these treats do not comprise more than 5% of you pets total daily intake as baking the product does affect the nutrional profile.

Above taken from the Hill's treating tip sheet.

hope this helps
