Also found out it was also an ex employee who got the job, no kids so much more flexible than I can be.

Sorry to hear that imo it's their loss! You obviously would have had a lot to offer the Practice and would have soon fitted in and they probably wouldn't have had to spend much time training you or bringing your skills up to date. I think it was a bit mean of them to get your hopes up. I'm sure your up-to-day skills in multi-tasking and being CEO of a family will soon find you something worthwhile! Chin up - have been there and i'm happier now.

Well I didn't get the job, they got some one with more up todate experience :( so gutted! They have offered me free training days but my problem is without a job I can't afford childcare. So a bit stuck! I even paid to get delisted too :(

Phoned them on Friday, and the head nur said 'spooky! I was just getting ready to give you a call!' I've got an interview next Tuesday!

Still waiting for them to phone me back, not sure if I should phone them at the end of the week just to see what is happening. I got the impression they would be calling me for interview this week. So I have been checking the phone 3 times a day for any missed calls. Would i come across pushy phoning them..? Maybe they haven't had time to sort things out yet I know they want someone to starter in march.
