I was a reasonable size when I started about 7 years ago, in my first year I gained the equivalent of a Jack russell in weight !
That soon progressed to a Staffie, now I don't want to know.
But all I can

Re: Putting on weight.
Rosemary Conley club
They still haven't emailed me back with the details so I'm gonna call them tomorrow and get things going. I feel I need a little push above my own will power!

I'm starting the Rosemary Conley club near me next Monday - they do weight watchers style classes plus aerobics. I lost two stone on my own the year before last and then kinda got stuck. Then On Saturday I found I've put on half a stone since the beginning of Dec and decided enough is enough!!! I never got down to my pre-pregnancy weight after the twins (I did with the others) and I'm determined to be slim again - esp as my uniform is now a little snug

Failing the PDSA sponsored slim could we start a slimming page on here???

The clients are all so kind bringing in treats, one of ours brings in freshly baked quiche every friday just before lunch

Re: Putting on weight.

Oh god its such a nightmare!! Im definately getting bigger over a stone and a half in 13yrs :) luckily i was whippet like when i started so im probably bit of a labarador now but give it another 13yrs and I'll be that overweight arthritic labarador that waddles into your weight clinics with the owner protesting that they dont eat much :) Generally because I have absolutely zilch willpower I take in very low calorie things for my lunch, Rivita and lots of fruit that way when the doughnuts come in I can eat one without feeling too bad. Probably not ideal but it works for me.

Re: Putting on weight.

Yes I do graze on bad foods, not because i'm hungry, but because it's there. I am starting to take healthy things to work to graze on instead, carrot, celery, cucumber, pepper, fruit. If I put it next to the cake and biscuits I can stop myself eating the junk!

Re: Putting on weight.

I dont graze but have found this job bad news for weight gain. I used to do a lot of 12hr days when I started out , skipped lunch and just ate 1 big meal at night (never earlier than 9pm) and then would collapse into bed ready to be up to start work at 8 the next morning. I did this for 5-6 yrs and even now when I could eat earlier I find myself more often than not eating till around 9 or 10 at night because it has become such an ingrained habit. I was slim when I started this job ( my racing weight was a max 7st 3) now I wouldnt like to say except its in double figures and among my nicknames are 'Hattie' or 'Matron' because I bear more than a passing resemblance to Hattie Jaques
