I might know the practice concerned as I know quite a few of the ones that employ night nurses.

Wake all night or can sleep if quiet? Expected number of inpatients? Are the night nurses expected to cover for each other incase of sickness or holiday or is your week off entirely your own? Also assuming permanent not locum.

£18,000 - £27,000.

The major player in night work tend to pay permanent staff towards the bottom end of this scale so the median income to expect is probably around £20,000, standalone night clinics often pay considerably more, ones that include referral work tend to vary a lot. Some pay partly commission based.

Locum rates that I know of for emergency clinic work in the north / midlands region include:

£100 / 115 / 120 / 144 / 156 / 160 / 184 / 200

with a locum hourly rate between £6.67 - £15.

Hope that helps.
