Brilliant at getting stubborn grime and marks off floors and surfaces, also disinfects as well. We use it once a week everywhere and Trigene the rest of the time. Can be bought as a 5L bottle in concentrate form.

Bleach can safely be mixed with a little washing up liquid to make a cheap but decent disinfecting detergent cleaner.

Re: Cleaning Floors

sorry I gave the wrong price on vetaclean parvo - the memory isnt so good , must be an age thing wasonly 28 when i checked today

Re: Cleaning Floors

Safe4 comes in different scents. I used the non fragrenced one for my pigs. From what I can remember a 5L bottle cost me around £40. Make it up into spray bottles so will last me forever!

Re: Cleaning Floors

sorry havnt used the safe4 for quite a long time now - yes I remember the apple scent. Virkon - the tablets work out a lot cheaper than the sachets but is absolutely yonks since I have bought any as I cant stand the stuff unless it is really really needed and would never buy the powder as it causes me real problems.

As an aside I used up the last of some quinticare I found in the cleaning cupboard - however good or not the rest of its properties I really rate this product for cleaning dirty floors that have been resistant to the others - they come up a treat

Re: Cleaning Floors

Slightly related to this topic, of all the cleaners that have been mentioned, which is the cheapest?

One place I worked we used to use something called 'Amtec' which could also be used in the floor scrubbers which brought the floors up lovely but caustic as hell ( I still have scars on my knees and legs where I decided to scrub the floor on my hands and knees one day) and you had to go over the floors afterwards to make sure the stuff was cleaned off.

You can get a pretty good result by using bleach and just a spot or two of washing up liquid in the bucket (and I do just mean a spot or two!) and then go over the floor again with just bleach and water

Re: Cleaning Floors

I'm a fan of vetaclean, but my boss wants us to use Flash because he thinks vetaclean does not disinfect a dirty floor..?
